Mantel clock, model Tambour #20, manufactured circa 1926 (in a 1926 catalog) by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, CT.
The mahogany case has a two-tone wood design and is 20 inches long and 9 inches high.
It has a 5-inch silvered dial with black Arabic numerals.
Strike is on a bell metal gong - producing a very nice clear sound.
There is a single strike on the half hour and multiple strikes counting the hour on the hour.
The 8-day (wind once per week) movement is the quality #120 round model.
It has a double-sided key to wind the two mainsprings and to adjust the speed (slow/fast) on the front of the clock.
The original model label is on the clock's bottom.
The movement was disassembled, each component cleaned, bushings replaced where needed, reassembled, adjusted and freshly lubricated (September 2023) - for many more years of service.
